LightHouse Women’s & Children’s Center provides temporary housing to women and children experiencing homelessness. Transitional housing guests are offered a length of stay up to six months and are given the opportunity to get back on their feet in a peaceful environment that offers privacy, dignity and security. Emergency Shelter guests are offered a length of stay from one to three nights.

Our 43-room facility is for both mothers with children and single women. We provide individual rooms with access to a private bathroom, shower, microwave, and small refrigerator and freezer. These rooms are flexible spaces which can accommodate larger families through adjoining doors. We do have several designated ADA compliant rooms for individuals with mobility needs. Uncaged pets are not permitted in the transitional housing program but are permitted in the emergency shelter.

Guests are offered spiritual enrichment opportunities where they can learn about the gospel and deepen their relationship with God. Guests are provided case advocacy where they are linked to supportive services such as medical and behavioral health service, education, employment, government assistance (food stamps, Medicaid, childcare vouchers) and housing search supports. Referrals are made based on the needs of each household and dependent upon the eligibility requirements of those outside programs. We believe that by providing a safe place to stay where we stabilize and empower our guests, they will be able to obtain stable and sustainable housing.
