Ministries of Hope Rescue Mission

Safe Haven
In an effort to provide a place where homeless men can come to find relief from life on the streets:
  • We provide food, clothing and shelter to meet the physical needs of each of the men who come to us.
  • We provide Gospel truth to help them confront the issues that haunt them and keep them from becoming responsible, productive men who can live life with the dignity the Word of God promises.
  • We pray for and with them for the issues that have caused their homeless condition in an effort to lift them out of their present situation.
  • We connect them with other human service agencies to get the help they need to find release from addiction, mental health problems and chronic joblessness.
  • We disciple them to assure that their commitments of faith are grounded as they turn from the despair in which they find themselves to rely upon the truth of the Gospel.
Disciples of Hope
This program takes men who have expressed a desire to turn from their past lives and pledge to make significant changes in their lives.
  • They receive ongoing spiritual training through intensive discipleship classes and evening worship services.
  • They also receive permanent housing in private rooms, three meals each day and job assignments for which they receive a weekly stipend.
  • Some of these men actually become employees of Hope Rescue Mission on a full-time basis, while others remain until they acquire positions outside of the Mission.
To the Rescue
Our Mission doors are always open to men just released from prison or those brought to us by local authorities and other social service agencies who guide people to our facilities.
  • We provide them a warn bed, a hot meal and spiritual guidance to help them through crises in their lives.
  • Often times these men become regular attendees at our chapel services, visitors to our Safe Haven or members of our Disciples of Hope program.
Community of Hope
We thank the Lord for a dependable and dynamic group of volunteers who provide spiritual counseling, evangelistic messages, practical training and much needed support of our ministries. We rely upon church groups for their assistance with:
  • Nightly Gospel chapel services for our Safe Haven guests and Disciples
  • Work crews for improvement projects and maintenance
  • Counseling and teaching from retired individuals who give of their time to help the men reconstruct their lives
  • Caring individuals who pitch in to help wherever it is needed.
  • Local people who donate goods, services and financial assistance.
We deeply appreciate the dedicated people throughout our community who make Hope Rescue Mission a positive force in the lives of men.
